It couldn’t be helped. Certain events and situations lead me down to follow the path left behind of the iPod bandwagon. So let me tell you how it came to be that I am now a sole owner of an iPod Nano.

It was just recently that I posted about the possibility of getting and iPod…

One of my favorite hobbies is watching movies. So I thought it would be nice to add in some movie reviews on my blog. Nothing on par with some movie critiques. My first movie review is going to be “Next”, based on the short story “The Golden Man†by Philip K. Dick.
“Next” is about a Las Vegas showroom magician, Cris Johnson (Nicolas Cage), who has the ability of foresight…

I’m not a big magic trick fan. I believe most magic tricks are designed in a way that the audience wouldn’t, and shouldn’t, be able to see the the 2nd step in the trick, the turn.

For those who aren’t familiar with the 3 steps in a magic trick…

iTunes is one funky application. I was a bit late to start using the application. I’ve only been using iTunes for less than a year and yet I rely on it to help me get through work on a daily basis.
But by using iTunes, should I be compelled to buying an iPod? I mean, 1 + 1 = 2 does it not? Makes logical sense to use this music device with a matching software.

I’ve never been eager to jump on the bandwagon…

It’s only 2 weeks away before my colleague, Peter Mah, and myself head off to Banff and take part in the 16th International World Wide Web Conference. The WWW2007 is a five-day conference (Tuesday to Saturday), featuring 12 tutorials, 8 workshops, 4 plenary speakers, 111 refereed papers, 119 posters, 7 panels, and 10-12 invited industry speakers.
There’s two events that we attending…
A sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time.
It’s been sometime since I’ve experienced this. It’s a delectable feeling especially when it comes to particular item that brings back a favorable flashback.
I was at my parent’s place today clearing out my room, yes there’s still a lot of things I haven’t picked up yet. There I was digging about and came across several items which made me stop and recall that particular event.
Greatest comeback
First on the list would be my soccer trophies and medals…

It was exactly a year ago when I received a phone call from Veronique from Critical Mass offering me a position as a web developer there. This was a couple weeks after my interview there. I recall choking on my muffin as I was hastily working on the rest of my final projects. It was quite a shock actually.
But mind you, I didn’t say “HELL YEAH!” right off the bat. I was between a rock and a hard place…

It was only a year ago that I was the one behind the table presenting my work to random strangers, may it be a curious passerby or a technology director of a big name web design company. But this year, it was my turn to observe the students’ work.

The NMPD Showcase is an event where students from the NMPD program at SAIT are able to show off their creative skills and technical work that they have done throughout the two year program. I’ll admit, there were some pretty impressive work being shown.
Not only are the students there to show off their talents…
It’s been a little over a year (April 6th to be precise) since I first met Jim McFadyen. Jim is a Web Development Manager at Critical Mass, or should I say soon to be former Web Development Manager. He’s found an exciting opportunity that I only merely dream of. Perhaps it’s because I don’t sleep well during the night without a mattress. He soon will be enjoying the sun down in California working at Yahoo!
Jim was one of my interviewers when I first applied to Critical Mass. The other interviewer was Aaron Glenn. And I tell ya, I got smoked by all the tech questions they threw at me. Literally. Not only did Jim interviewed me, but he was one of my superiors right off the bat. First the tech questions, then my amateur questions and annoyance. I seriously thought Jim saw of me as an empty knucklehead asking why my Apache wouldn’t start up. But due time, I came to respect Jim for his awesome talents.
If there’s three things to remember Jim by, it would be his JavaScript, his laughter and my futon couch/bed…
