Fire on the 8th Floor

Building Fire

Awesome, just when I was about to get cozy and go to sleep, the fire alarm went off. Not mine, I took out the battery in it because it kept going off every time I used the oven. This was the hallway fire alarms. I thought it was a very loud apartment alarm, but seemed too loud for it to be one.

Yup, that’s right folks. I’ve finally got my drivers license last weekend. Took a couple tries when I should have gotten it on my first try, but some dumb skateboarder made sure that I didn’t.

Ms.Carson - A genius tries, even when he’s wrong

Here’s another nostalgic post for ya.

Ms. Carson was my grade 5th teacher back in Deer Run Elementary. One of the very few that I actually found enjoyable to be taught by. It was just recently that I heard she was retiring from her teaching profession. I’m not sure how long she’s been teaching for but it must be for a long time.

Facebook - Do I know you from somewhere?

Ok, ok fine. I finally gave in and got an account on Facebook. Why? I have no idea. Perhaps because nearly everyone at Critical Mass is on Facebook. As much as I wanted to stay out of this online social networking site, curiosity got the best of me.

Nostalgia

A sentimental yearning for the happiness of a former place or time.

It’s been sometime since I’ve experienced this. It’s a delectable feeling especially when it comes to particular item that brings back a favorable flashback.

I was at my parent’s place today clearing out my room, yes there’s still a lot of things I haven’t picked up yet. There I was digging about and came across several items which made me stop and recall that particular event.

1 Year Later…

It was exactly a year ago when I received a phone call from Veronique from Critical Mass offering me a position as a web developer there. This was a couple weeks after my interview there. I recall choking on my muffin as I was hastily working on the rest of my final projects. It was quite a shock actually.

But mind you, I didn’t say “HELL YEAH!” right off the bat. I was between a rock and a hard place…
