Brand New Portfolio Website

Avid Web Developer

Nope, I’m not dead. Sorry to disappoint. Just haven’t found anything worthwhile to post. That there is a lie. But really…

On a lighter note, my brand new portfolio website is now up.

Summer Event - Critical Mass

Not only do we at Critical Mass know how to work hard, we party hard.

WE PARTY HARD

This is my 2nd summer event that I’ve attended, though I left the party early last year, this year rocked!

Been some time since I’ve had this much fun. Thanks to 4 rum & coke, 6 rye & coke, 6 misc shots, 3 beers, all in a span of 6 hours. Mind you, I’m not the heavy drinker, but you gotta have fun time to time. But I was no where near Gary’s stumbling level.

As much as I want to give you the full story, I’m sort of not capable to do so at the current moment. Hell, how am I even able to start this entry?

Updated

So it turns out that I bruised my left knee while doing the worm across the stage that night. But it was well worth it. You’d only catch me doing such actions and possibly karaoke when I’m drunk out of my mind.

Hand Shake
Wednesday was a good day at work. Despite of my xsl keywords weren’t cooperating, I was pulled aside from my MB tasks. I wasn’t sure what to make of it at first. Though there’s always that small…tiny…insignificant…worried thought in the back of my head.

Guess what I was called in for…

Critical Mass SEO Contest

So here at Critical Mass, we’re hosting a company wide contest to see who can come on top in 5 different search engines with a particular set keywords.

Do I plan of entering? Why not?
What’s the keyword? I do not wish to say (my reason below), but I’m sure you can find it on some other people’s blog. *cough Geoff*

Farewell Rich Wilkins

It’s a mournful day at Critical Mass. One of our beloved employees has passed away with the battle against cancer.

Famous Last Words

Admit it. We’ve all done something we’ve regretted in our lives. For some, never got the chance to regret their action.

OH S***!

I’ve recently got a wake up call today. It was one of the well known pitfalls for anyone that deals with computers…

Adieus Jim!

It’s been a little over a year (April 6th to be precise) since I first met Jim McFadyen. Jim is a Web Development Manager at Critical Mass, or should I say soon to be former Web Development Manager. He’s found an exciting opportunity that I only merely dream of. Perhaps it’s because I don’t sleep well during the night without a mattress. He soon will be enjoying the sun down in California working at Yahoo!

Jim was one of my interviewers when I first applied to Critical Mass. The other interviewer was Aaron Glenn. And I tell ya, I got smoked by all the tech questions they threw at me. Literally. Not only did Jim interviewed me, but he was one of my superiors right off the bat. First the tech questions, then my amateur questions and annoyance. I seriously thought Jim saw of me as an empty knucklehead asking why my Apache wouldn’t start up. But due time, I came to respect Jim for his awesome talents.

If there’s three things to remember Jim by, it would be his JavaScript, his laughter and my futon couch/bed…

Above the call of duty, Five times.

Lets admit it. There has been a time in our lives where we must spend that extra time to finish off some project on time. Well, this ain’t post secondary anymore for me, and the pressure is just unbelievable. I mean sure, I was willing to sacrifice an arm or a leg on my grades, but this time around, I wish had a couple extra.

That being said, overtime to me is nothing more than just spending a couple hours after work…
